Dear Class,
My name is Kelsey Rausch. I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I went to Arcadia High School. I was on varsity cheer and danced. Now I am a freshman at the University of Arizona. Im an active member in the campus greek life, in Kappa Kappa Gamma. My sisters are my world. My current major is Studio Art, but lets be honest... I hate it. I'm exploring the option of Retail and Consumer Sciences. Its pretty 'legit'.
I usually don't enjoy writing about myself. I never know what to and not to say. I find it much easier when it is an interview situation, with pre-planned questions. What am I suppose to tell you?
Right now I am watching a movie classic, Big, with Tom Hanks. I think its all and all a pretty clever concept. Which alludes you to wonder, how do screen writers create such wild story lines? The same applies for authors, where do their concepts grow from? Ah, to have such an imagination is a wonderful life.

  1. I noticed you used the word "Legit", which is a HUGE Bay Area thing. I find myself using it constantly along with "Hella". Sorry you aren't a big fan of your major, but i hear retail and consumer sciences is really interesting! See you in class!

  2. I agree with you it is hard to be put on the spot and forced to explain to a bunch of strangers who you are through a few words instead of verbally. Expression and tone of voice and character are such important things to a persons personality that it is a shame that this is how we must get to know each other. Also, I have never heard of the movie, "Big" but I love Tom Hanks as an actor, him proclaiming his devotion to a volley ball and calling "Wilson!!" in "Cast Away" immediately made me a fan. Now I will have to keep my eye out at the movie store for this title.

  3. You went to Arcadia high school, huh? Cool! Well this is going to sound a little strange, but I work in the U of A office of Admissions, and have come across tons of student applicants from Arcadia high school. I wonder if its illegal for me to tell you that... oh well! But yeah, it just struck me because I've come across that high school so many times. Was it a big school?

And I totally understand not knowing what to right about for this blog. It's like, am I sharing too much information or too little? I probably shared too much, but that's okay I think that just usually happens with me.

Anyway good luck with finding a major!

  4. You seem like a very interesting person. I too am very close with my younger sisters and miss them dearly being here. Writing my about me was also pretty difficult for there is no prompt you just have to write what you would want the class to know about yourself. Hopefully this semester will only bring us joy and happiness (as long as we got A's).
